Chapter 19

Loki was floating. In the dark, surrounded by warm, smooth waves, he felt completely at ease. It was only the lack of oxygen that pushed him back toward the surface. He sat up, with soapy water trickling down his chest. He blew some foam off his nose and pushed back his hair, smiling at Jack, who was too focused on his own reflection in the mirror to pay Loki any mind. He just finished trimming his thick beard so that it reached his collarbones, and was now gently massaging in some kind of oil. The stuff smelled nice, and Loki knew, as he frequently fell asleep with his nose buried in that red bush, lulled by the herby musk and Jack’s own scent. And his balls knew, too, after three more blow jobs Jack had given him within the last two weeks.

They were becoming closer. Jack even took him out to the movies once, to a Fast and Furious marathon. Loki didn’t really like the films, but sitting next to Jack in a dark cinema, even without the hand holding or a backseat blow job, felt oddly like a date. It was Loki who got the blow job after they returned home late at night. Not to mention Jack had gotten him popcorn and a drink as well. That had to mean something.

Loki could sit in the bathtub and ogle Jack for ages. He’d like to die watching Jack’s tattoos, hearing him moan…

“You all set for the party?” Jack asked without looking back, as he worked some product into his stylish undercut. Such a peacock. Loki’d even heard some of Jack’s friends make jokes about how well groomed he was. Then again, whenever they were out Jack turned heads, so the guys were probably just jealous of that. Some of them would never be able to grow a beard so thick anyway. Losers.

But tonight, Jack was taking more time than usual, and Loki was getting slightly worried that he could be already bored of sticking to one guy. And at a party meant to celebrate Jack recovering after getting a bullet in the side, he would have much better chances with the girls. Loki wanted to believe Jack’s vague promises, he wanted to believe Jack had learned his lesson when Loki shot him, but at the back of his mind there still was that annoying buzz of worry. “You’re taking ages. Might as well wait for you to let me have some space by the mirror.” Loki chuckled, folding his arms on the edge of the tub.

“It’s you who takes fucking ages straightening your hair like a girl.” Jack instantly bristled up, but the frown Loki got to see in the mirror only made him more handsome.

Loki stretched his back. “Nah, I only do it occasionally.”

“Wanna let the girls see what they’re missing.”

Loki’s smile got so big he hid it behind his forearms. That was exactly what he needed to hear. “Windowshopping. They will be all agitated,” teased Loki. Knowing that Jack was his only gave him such a thrill.
